The import of radioactive sources (Am-241, Ra-226 etc.) used for lightning rod production is not permitted as of 31.03.2000 with the circular dated 04.01.2000 and numbered 10700-0005 published by Teak. This ban will continue indefinitely.

Again with the circular dated 30.07.2001 and numbered 10700-1485 published by Teak; Ra-226 radioactive source lightning rods, which are installed and still in use in our country, are collected and delivered to Teak by the authorized companies, taking into consideration the potential hazards in terms of environment and human health.
